Runway Teacher

Blue Ruffle Top; Teacher Outfit

August 10, 2017

Well I got a little back to school shopping, but I was bummed out that some stores didn’t take my coupons. I have a lot to learn from my mother. I didn’t want to do any shopping during tax free weekend, but Office Depot had pretty good deals so I might as well go early and get them! They had glue sticks and composition books for 1 cent each, but you are limited to 3. I’m hoping my family will help me out by going with me, because I have a little over 100 students, so basically I need to stock up on supplies as much as I can!

Moving forward, last week I did some shopping for work and I found great deals! This cute ruffle top comes in different colors and I love that fact that you can pair it up with slacks or even a skirt. I will be rotating this top throughout the year as my teacher outfit so make sure you follow my Instagram to see my looks. Also, I’m wearing my hair up y’all! I don’t think I have any blog posts with my hair up, but I’m totally going to be honest you all. I start off so good with taking the time in doing my hair, but after two months I’m like, “this hair is going up!” Therefore, I decided to share this blue ruffle top look with how I would possibly wear and style it as a teacher; hair up and very little makeup. Okay, so now let’s talk about these slacks. Like every year, I go shopping at New York & Company and I saw that these pants were on major sale! So, I was already thinking these are cute, but ugh I don’t know if I’ll be comfortable in them. I hardly wear slacks to work since I’m always moving around in my classroom and even take my teaching outside the class at times, so slacks are not my best friend sometimes. Nonetheless, when I went to the dressing room I noticed that these slacks are not tight and you don’t have to button up. They are stretchy, comfortable and even have that professional look. I got them in two colors!! Another reason I like them is because I’m short, 5’1 to be exact. However, these pants are supposed to be ankle pants, lol, but since I’m petite, these fit perfect for my size! Short girl problems, lol. I think this outfit makes a perfect teacher outfit or even work outfit.  Both items are currently on sale, less than $28, so make sure you check them out!
