Orange is the new black.
To think I had a closet full of black clothing a year ago is somewhat unbelievable. I know exactly how it feels to have a closet full of black and neutral colors, because lets face it, they are comfort colors and easy to blend. Since starting this blog, I set out a goal for myself to be more daring in taking risks with style and adding a variety of color. I am slowly, but surely doing just that. Adding color into one’s closet creates a sense of cheerfulness and charm. It speaks volume and makes a whole lot of difference in one’s mood. Typically I tend to be at my happiest when I am wearing bright colors. I mean how can one not wear a smile with a loud color such as this one? I got this amazing trench coat during the tax-free weekend from New York and Company and only spent $32 on it. I was seriously iffy about purchasing this color on a trench coat, especially since a trench coat is a staple piece, but it was worth the purchase. I know, taking risks with color can be out of your comfort zone, but sometimes when we step out of what’s known, we tend to discover new possibilities.

Okay, funny story. This past weekend while I got ready to take my photos for this look, my boyfriend was adamant that I was wearing a red trench coat. I had to explain to him that the tag said it was an orange trench coat. What do you all think? Red or orange?
God Bless You Always!
