FINALLY getting around to sharing Jonah’s Baby Shower by mail! I would have never imagined that my first baby shower would be spent away from loved ones and friends due to social distancing, but to be honest this shower turned out to be better than I could have imagine. I’m completely happy and so blessed to have amazing family and friends that made our baby shower by mail such an incredible memory as a first-time momma-to-be.
We were planning on having our Baby Shower on April 26, 2020, but our County and State had issued a shelter at home order during the quarantine at the end of March. When that occurred, my family decided to conduct a baby shower by mail and set a date to open the gifts virtually with loved ones and friends. We felt this was the safest way to go about it and convenient for anyone who wanted to participate. I decided to stick with Buy Buy Baby as the only baby registry, because they really made the process of registering gifts and receiving them so easy. For the month of April, I stayed away from viewing what gifts that were purchased on the registry so that we would be surprised when we opened the gifts! It was so hard not to peak, but I didn’t! We received our gifts by mail and it was always so exciting to see the delivery people drop off the gifts at my door. We decided to open gifts virtually on May 1, 2020. My sister decided to use FB to create a page for our shower and she hosted little games leading to the virtual shower. Furthermore, days before opening gifts, my sister Erica and my momma came over to wrap the gifts up for us so that we wouldn’t peak and still enjoy the excitement of opening gifts for Baby Jonah! Thank you, Momma and Erica!
The shower by mail turned out to be a beautiful experience for my husband and I. The love and support we have received for Baby Jonah fill our hearts. We were still able to celebrate with loved ones and friends via virtual, which was really fun! If anyone is on a similar situation and looking for a cute way to celebrate and still have that memorable baby shower, I hope this suits you well!

My mom and I did this on our own. It really isn’t that hard to do and it is so much cheaper to do it ourselves. I recommend you purchase an air pressure for balloons.
