Summer is pretty much over in our household, but it’s never to late to share memories, am I right? As you know, my baby boy Jonah turned the big one at the beginning of June and we decided to do surf theme birthday party for him, after all it is summer! I am super happy with how everything turned out! It was cute, fun, and simple. Oh and hot! Lol, but so glad we got some fans up and running!
Anyway, I wanted to share some memories for our sake and also in case any mommas out there decided to have similar theme. There was a few other things I wanted to do, but honestly the time just flew by and I planned the whole thing myself, so not to shabby! I am just incredibly blessed that Jonah had fun and he got see to family and meet family he hadn’t met. Below you find the items that I used, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out!
Party Details:
Amazon Purchases
Oriental trading
Volkswagon Car:
I decided to to remodel a cozy coupe and transform it to volkswagon. It did take some time, but I honestly loved the way it came out for photos purposes. I did not have time to order the Volkswagon sign, but hey it still came out super cute. I used the spray paint that I got from target that can be used for plastic as well. I ordered two teal and one white and that pretty much covered it.
Volkswagon Pinata
Okay, I also decided to DIY project because they wanted to charge me like $80.00 bucks to get it done. I only paid $6 bucks you all. Pretty much just the tissue paper, because I used diaper boxes, paint and construction paper that I already have. Check out my video here. to be honest, we got so busy I completely forgot about it and we did not even get to hit it haha! So we still have it as a souvenir lol!
Party Favors:
I purchased the cute small sand buckets that come with three sand tools from the dollar tree and filled them up with so many goodies and toys that I purchased from either Target, Walmart and oriental trading.
Center Pieces:
We got the seashell vase and flowers from downtown McAllen, and my momma put them together. She seriously did such a great job. I loved the way they came out!
We got a Happy 1st Birthday sign for our Jonah in our yard. I am pretty pleased with their service. The sign came out super cute!
Cake and Cookies:
Luckily for us, our neighbor makes cake so we got our from hers and ordered cupcakes from Sams! With COVID, I think Cupcakes are the best route right now. Also, the cookies we ordered from close friend and OMG she did such a great job with the cookies!!! They came out perfect!
Surf Boards:
I made the surf boards myself, cut them out from boxes. I also used the acrylic paint that Dollar Tree now sells. The surf boards on the centerpieces are also from dollar tree. They were little summer signs, and parents just buffed them down to clear it and painted them white. Also used the paint on here.
God Bless you always!
