November 8 marked my 3-year blog anniversary and I am completely thankful for the continue support I get from you all! I don’t think I would have made it this far without you all! I am also so glad to hear that you all enjoy my content and posts that I share with you, it means the world! When I first started it was a little intimating and nerve wrecking, especially knowing that I would have photos and personal stories online for the world to see forever. I’m glad I took that leap of faith and that God put in my heart to share my stories, fashion and lifestyle with you.
Okay, so now as promised I have had several questions throughout the past couple of months and I love questions, because it means that you all feel comfortable to ask me and that means a lot. I am really good about answering any question you may have, so please do not hesitate. I also, want to apologize for delaying this post, I clearly need to work on time management for my blog. Oops!
Most Frequent Questions:
What site do you use for your blog?
I use WordPress. It is user friendly and there is so much assistance and layouts you can find that are compatible to WordPress.
Do you make money from blogging?
Yes, I do. I make a fair amount for the amount of time I put into my blog. I work full time job and I blog as a hobby. I make commission from products that you might purchase or click from my blog, from ads, or even from the blog posts. I will always inform my audience if a post is sponsored or an ad.
Are you still a teacher?
Yes and No. This year, I applied for a Collaborative Community leader (CLL) for our district and I work with teachers at my current high school campus. Basically, I am teacher of teachers, I support, coach, mentor, offer feedback, research, and provide instructional resources for my teachers. I have met such incredible teachers through this position and I am constantly learning something new each day.
What’s you favorite Phone editing app?
Color story is my favorite. If you all have read my past blog posts, I don’t photoshop my photos. I try to be as real as possible, however Color story is used to filter my photos like the lighting or tones of the photos.
How do I get people to take my photos?
Okay, this one is still a tough one for me. I hate asking people to take photos because it is time consuming. I don’t like to ask people to take photos of me at work, because although some already know I am blogger, I try to distinguish my work like from personal life. I typically have to bribe my husband to take photos, but he’s usually so supportive about it. With his coaching schedule it’s been hard to get him to take my photos, so I usually have to bribe my lovely sisters or parents to take them. Haha.
What stores are my favorite places to shop?
I like shopping at JCPenney’s, New York and Company, Dillard’s and occasionally shop online at SheIn.
What’s your favorite vacation spot you have visited?
I am such a beach person so there’s a lot of beautiful beaches I would recommend, however Hawaii Oahu, is one of my favorite places. My family and I stayed there for a full week and got so much done. It will be a memory I will forever cherish!
How do you manage a fulltime job and blogging?
This is question I always get, and I sometimes don’t know how to answer this. It’s very challenging to maintain a lot of things at once and it’s hard to set out several goals at once. I try my best to pace myself and remind myself that I blog for a hobby and if I get it to awesome and if I don’t, don’t stress out! There was one point where I was constantly like I have to buy this and that for the blog and I have to take photos and it has to be perfect, blah, blah. I got so caught up capturing the moments, that I wasn’t really enjoying the moments, so I have learned to slow down, enjoy moments, and blog as often as you can.
