Happy Teachers Appreciation Week to all my lovely Teachers out there! The National Teacher Appreciation week is May 8-12, 2017, but many school districts are celebrating it this week, not sure why, but hey it’s the same concept right? I want to personally thank all my teachers out there for doing what they do. You truly are making a difference every single day. People aren’t lying when they say it takes a lot to be teacher, especially in this generation! One of my favorite things about teaching is when your students gain a sense of accomplishment, because you worked hard to mold their knowledge all while teaching valuable life lessons. I love seeing the “Ah-Ha” moments and I always look forward to building synergistic relationships with my students and staff. I feel that as teacher we do more then just teach. We are called to be mothers, counselors, coaches, nurses, data analysts, and more while being a teacher. Some days are tough and some days just come easy to us, but as a teacher we must be prepared for both. Each and every student learns differently, therefore implementing differential instructional to all our students is essential when delivering our classroom content. Can you just take a moment and imagine how many different personalities we teach to all day? If you are a teacher you understand how crazy this sounds, but you can also relate to the type of mind set and heart one must have to appreciate our student’s uniqueness. I can’t say that teaching is always sunshine and rainbows, but it sure is rewarding when you have students come back to visit your classroom after years to tell you that you have made a difference.

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; If service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching.
